Screen Check – Green Previs is developed by CRIT Studio. The app processes camera images, background plates, depth information and production measurements on your device. This version does not include advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, account registration or a developer-operated upload service. CRIT Studio does not receive your camera feed, recordings or saved setups through the app.
Camera, microphone and Photos
Camera access is used for live previsualisation, screen and lighting checks, and recording takes. Microphone access records scratch audio when you use that feature. Photos access lets you choose background images or videos and save stills or takes. The app does not upload these media to CRIT Studio.
Local network and director’s monitor
When you enable Share to Monitors, Screen Check – Green Previs advertises your camera name and streams the live composite and production status to other devices running Screen Check – Green Previs. Monitor devices send a viewer name to the camera. Sharing is optional and can be switched off in Director’s Monitor. The current monitor connection is not encrypted or protected by a pairing code. Anyone running Screen Check – Green Previs on a reachable network can connect while sharing is enabled. Use a trusted network and turn sharing off when finished.
On-device review
Optional AI Set Review uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models when available. Setup measurements and, on supported systems, selected camera/composite images are processed by the on-device model. Screen Check – Green Previs does not send them to an external AI service. Feature availability depends on your device, system version, language and Apple Intelligence settings.
Storage and deletion
Settings, named setups, scenes, imported plates and recorded takes may be stored locally by the app. Remove saved items using the available app controls or Files. Deleting the app removes its local app storage. Copies exported to Photos, Files, other devices or other apps remain there until you delete them separately. Device backups and cloud syncing of exported files are governed by your Apple and destination-service settings.
Sharing and external services
When you choose to export or share a file, your chosen destination handles that copy under its own terms and privacy policy. Opening the studio website or contacting support uses your browser or email provider. If you email support, CRIT Studio receives the information you choose to send and uses it to respond and resolve your request. Avoid sending confidential footage or personal information that is unnecessary for support.
Your choices
You can change Camera, Microphone, Photos and Local Network permissions in iOS or iPadOS Settings. Denying a permission limits the feature that needs it. You control whether to record, save, export or share a live monitor feed.
